Helping Immigrant seniors help Themselves

  • Do you want more information about the kind of social services that are available for immigrant seniors?

  • Would you like someone to visit you at home?

  • Do you have any concerns about housing, health, or employment?

  • Do you want to work together to explore some solutions?

Organizing for Change:  A Project Designed to Help Immigrant Seniors Help Themselves

  • To provide training and capacity-building to existing immigrant seniors organizations;

  • To identify, contact and bring together isolated immigrant seniors;

  • To bring together individual seniors, immigrant senior organizations and mainstream groups for mutual support and sharing of resources;

  • To develop concrete plans designed to address the various needs of immigrant seniors;

  • To train volunteer community workers to facilitate and sustain this process.
