Digital Imaging - Step 1 - Acquiring the Image (ELDW AE1)

You can do many things with a picture in your computer, but first you have to get it in there!  In this course, we will acquire images from a digital camera, through a card reader, from an email, from a CD or diskette, or from a scanner. You will also be introduced to the digital imaging software used for this series.  Now you’re ready!
Class size is limited to ten students, each working on a computer

Course number: ELDW AE1

Class dates and times:

May 5 Monday 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Instructor - L. Grislay

Digital Imaging - Step 2 - Working with the Image (ELDW AE2)

Now that the image is stored in your computer, we will use Adobe Photoshop Elements to edit.  With this powerful software, you will learn how to remove blemishes or even scratches on an old photo.  You will improve the contrast, colour, or clarity and be able to crop parts you don’t need.  This is a fun way to experiment with photographic images!
Class size is limited to ten students, each working on a computer

Course number: ELDW AE2

Class dates and times:

May 7 Wednesday 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Instructor - L. Grisley

Digital Imaging - Step 3 - Sharing the Image (ELDW AE3)

You’ve created such a beautiful picture that you must share it with your family and friends.  In this course, you will learn how to print and email photos.  You will also learn how to create a slide show or a picture album and to archive your photos onto a CD or DVD.  Now that image will be safe forever!
Class size is limited to ten students, each working on a computer

Digital Imaging - Step 4 - Creating a Video CD (ELDW AE4)

You will learn how to create a video CD slide show of your favourite photos or videos, with title pages, graphics, narration, and music that can be played in any standard DVD player - not just a computer!  To take this course, however, you must have completed the Digital Imaging series steps 1-3.

Digital Imaging Project Day (ELDW DIP)

Most students of Digital Imaging have something they would like to do with their pictures, whether it is a slide show, organizing an album, creating a CD project or enhancing a photo.  Once students have completed the first 4 steps of Digital Imaging, this class gives you an opportunity to develop your own project with the help of our Instructor.
