Internet Step 1:  Using Internet Explorer (ELDW IE1)

 
Internet Explorer 7, is an  enhanced web browser software from Microsoft .With a whole new look and sleek design, IE7 is designed to streamline your web browsing, while cleaning up your visual experience.  This program will have you surfing the web with ease, once you are introduced to IE7s features and navigation tools.
Class size is limited to ten students, each working on a computer

Internet Step 2:  How to Search (ELDW IE2)

 
A Recipe for Success is what you will receive from this course!  What would YOU like to find?  We will mix the ingredients of the right search engine, just the right keywords, a little detective work and just a hint of spicy fun to cook up exactly what you want out of the Internet.  Internet Step 1 is a prerequisite to this course.

Internet Step 3:  Downloading and Installing Programs (ELDW IE3)

 
The Internet is a useful source of free software recommended to enhance your security and efficiency in computer use.  In this course, you will learn safe sites for accessing software, the procedures for downloading to your machine, where the program is stored and how to access it, plus the installation process for that software. 
Internet Explorer – Step 1 is a prerequisite to this course.
Class size is limited to ten students, each working on a computer

All classes are held at ElderWeb's Internet Station located in Southgate Center, Edmonton, Alberta.

Course fees:

ElderWeb member: $39.00 + GST.
Non-members: $69.00 + GST.

Visit the Internet Station at Southgate  Center in person. We are located at the southeast mall entrance next to the elevator. Our hours of operation are 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday to Friday, closed on statutory holidays.
